Who are we?

Eventure Festival is organised and run by School in a Bag Trading Ltd, a wholly owned trading subsidiary of the charity School in a Bag (1186357). All profits made by School in a Bag Trading Ltd are reinvested back into the charity’s work.

School in a Bag was born out of the Piers Simon Appeal, a charity set-up in memory of the Founder and CEO’s brother who died in the Indian Ocean Tsunami on Boxing Day in 2004.

School in a Bag provides bright red rucksacks full of essential resources that enable poor, orphan, vulnerable and disaster affected children worldwide to write, draw, colour, calculate, express themselves, eat, drink, wash and above all, learn. To date, over 143,000 SchoolBags have been distributed to children in 54 countries including over 3,500 SchoolBags that have been distributed to refugee children in the UK.

A typical SchoolBag (left) contains: 12 pencils, 10 biro pens, 12 colouring pencils, a maths set, ruler, pencil case, 6 exercise books (line/square/plain), a water bottle, a LunchBox and Spork and a hygiene pack comprising toothbrush, toothpaste, flannel, soap and washable facemask.

The cost to fund a SchoolBag is £20.00. Each international SchoolBag has a unique identifier number which enables complete transparency for the donor. When a SchoolBag is funded, the donor is given a unique number which is placed in a special slot on the bag, and they can then track its journey to the final recipient via the charity’s website.
